Why the insurance adjuster called you so fast (and what they actually want)
Adjusters move fast on purpose. The earlier they reach you, the less likely you are to have talked to a lawyer, the less likely you know what your case is worth, and the more likely you are still rattled enough to say something that hurts your claim later.
They are friendly. They sound concerned. They ask how you are feeling. None of that is fake exactly, but it is also being written down. Saying I am okay or I am feeling much better can later be used to argue that your injuries were not serious. So can a recorded statement, which they will often ask for early.
You do not have to be rude. You can simply say you are still being evaluated by doctors, you are not giving a recorded statement, and any further communication should go through your attorney. That is it. You have not done anything wrong, you have just stopped giving them free material to use against you.
If you have not talked to a lawyer yet, do that before the recorded statement. We do these calls for free and there is no commitment. Whatever the adjuster wants from you is almost never urgent in the way they make it sound.
